The Indie Informer is a many-eyed beast, and we’ve dedicated one to Soft Rains’ sci-fi narrative, Ambrosia Sky. But our watch will end soon, as the game is set to launch the first act of its three-part story on November 10.
The additional segments will follow next year. While news of an anticipated release is always good to see, multi-part indie games have historically had a difficult time. Some of this is due to a prevalent problem facing smaller games: Reaching audiences. Splitting the release here could also scatter attention, though I hope the launches in 2026 shine brighter than a full release in this busy time of year.
Ambrosia Sky certainly deserves as much spotlight as it can grab. Part PowerWash Sim and part space opera, the game earned a spot in our Best of Summer Game Fest list for its “cosmic colors, sci-fi weapons, and intriguingly emotional narrative premise.”

Today’s reveal came as part of IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition, which you can watch here if you missed it. And that’s not the only big event going on this week. Keep an eye out for The Indie Informer’s coverage of Steam Next Fest over the next few days — there are a ton of great indies to check out, including Ambrosia Sky!
