If I’m reading the site’s release calendar correctly — and I hope I am because I wrote it — nearly a dozen indies I’ve had my eye on launch this week, and five hit on Tuesday alone! You can catch up on what Knights in Tight Spaces has to offer here, but there are still so many games to shout out.

Scarlet Hollow: The Roads Untraveled Update
This is a fun one, though not a new release technically. The developer, Black Tabby Games — which also recently launched Slay the Princess, actually began work on Scarlet Hollow long before its royal project. However, the episodic ghost tale has remained in Early Access since 2021 and seemed to be in limbo. Until this week.
The Roads Untraveled Update has delivered a jolt of electricity to the stalled title with new animations, increased script, fresh narrative branches, and more. So far, I’m enraptured with the tale. While the game continues in Early Access, this injection of interest likely means news of the full release is in our future.

Everhood 2
It seems the color of my soul is blue. I’m not sure how Everhood 2 really calculated that or what it protends, but it does mean my little protagonist gets to walk through the bizarre world with a cool pigment shade.
The sequel blends a curious drink, pouring rhythm game combat, Undertale vibes, and Pokémon-esque exploration into one tall glass. As to what’s going on and where you’ve found yourself in this game, that’s a little difficult to explain. I’m not certain I’ll have all the answers even when I roll credits. But the journey is fun either way.

Grimoire Groves
If it’s hard for you to picture a cozy rogue-lite dungeon crawler in your mind, feast your eyes. Just to hit every trend and conjure the most indie of indie games, Grimoire Groves has witches, gardening, and the cutest bunch of enemies you’ve ever beheld.
Its game loop is tight and feeds into itself pleasingly. My job as an aspiring witch is to enter the forest to harvest resources and seeds by giving the enthusiastic inhabitant some magical attention. Having attained these, I can return to the, sadly overgrown, Groves to help plant the area and reclaim it from chaos.
