Dredge Sails To Mobile Devices This December

Developer Black Salt Games is bringing its hit horror fishing game Dredge to mobile devices on December 18. In a couple of months, players can embark on one of our favorite games of 2023 anywhere they go.

On the surface, Dredge is a simple fishing game. Set sail aboard a small ship and cruise the open ocean catching fish, ranging from small fry to even eels and squids. You then sell your haul to shops for cash that, in turn, is spent on upgrading different elements of the boat. This loop of constant discovery and improvement is potent alone, but Dredge’s unsettling otherworldly elements separate the hardened sea dogs from the timid landlubbers.

Ancient, mysterious horrors roam these waters. Some fish have been mutated fish into grotesque abominations. Various monsters hide beneath these depths waiting to pull players under. Dredge’s most terrifying and disorienting horrors rear their ugly heads at night, and prolonged exposure to this madness drives the captain closer to the edge of insanity.

The mobile version has been optimized with touch controls (though it also supports external controllers). Dredge’s DLCs – The Pale Reach, The Iron Rig, and The Blackstone Key – will also be available as separate purchases.

Dredge docks on iOS, Mac, and Android as a premium paid game for $24.99 (i.e. the same price as the PC/console versions). Apple users can try it early thanks to a free demo featuring the game’s first area.
