It’s been a while since we’ve seen or heard from Neostream and its intriguing adventure game, Little Devil Inside. To be exact, the last trailer was unveiled at the PlayStation State of Play in October of 2021. After over two years of silence, the team behind Little Devil Inside has taken to the Kickstarter page with a cryptic message to fans alluding to troubles the studio has overcome and provided six minutes of footage in a hopeful gesture that the game and devs are still alive and kicking.
The new gameplay running on Unreal Engine 5, which you can watch above, is paired with a note from Neostream assuring its Kickstarter backers that Little Devil Inside exists despite the recent lack of communication. While much of the blog post is vague as to what turmoil ultimately caused the delay of Little Devil Inside, it paints a picture of conflicting visions with a bigger team and has subsequently reduced its headcount. People with “respectable but different purposes and pursuits” had gone their separate ways from working on the game. The post reads, “In sharing these differences and thoughts, we were sometimes touched and moved and sometimes in conflict. We are responsible for not being able to embrace the differences,” followed by an apology to the reader.
“We’re back to a smaller, bonded team with a single, common purpose – just to make a great game,” Neostream assures, following with, “all our core founding and starting members still here with the duty and conscience to fulfill what we set out to do.” With this refocusing of its team and vision, the studio is in the process of seeking out a publisher to partner with before answering more questions about the game.

No other update was given regarding when we might next see Little Devil Inside, but we’ll be anticipating when new information on the game eventually appears.
