Day Of The Devs Returns Alongside The Game Awards This December

Day of the Devs, a collaborative effort brought forth by Double Fine and iam8bit, will once again be showing off games from independent developers and publishers in December. Centered around Geoff Keighley’s big yearly gaming celebration and award ceremony, Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition 2023 is scheduled to take place over the course of two events- a digital showcase at 8 AM Pacific on December 6 and an in-person celebration on December 8 from 2 pm to 8 pm Pacific in Los Angeles.

What’s an event tied to The Game Awards without any world premieres? A press release announcing the dual events promises at least a couple of first looks at the digital showcase of new games from Feral Cat Den (Genesis Noir), Digital Eclipse (The Making of Karateka), Kitfox Games (Boyfriend Dungeon), and Popcannibal (Kind Words). The digital event is said to highlight twenty games, with over forty developers and publishers participating at the in-person soirée.

The December 8 event is for more than just people in the games industry, too. Anyone can check out all kinds of current and upcoming indie games for free. All that you need to do is RSVP on the Day of the Devs Eventbrite page if you’re interested in going.
