Prolific indie publisher Devolver Digital released a new video today announcing the delays of a handful of its upcoming slate to 2024. Mind you, only some things are moving into next year, but a hefty chunk of games will be cooking a bit longer before they are released.
In the video above, cheekily titled “Devolver Delayed,” some highly anticipated games previously intended to launch this year are being given unfortunate yet necessary extra time. The showcase is short and sweet, clocking in at three minutes, with the first half dedicated to new-to-2024 releases. Here is the full list of postponements:
- The Plucky Squire (Xbox, PlayStation 5, Switch, PC)
- Stick It to the Stickman (PC)
- Skate Story (PC)
- Anger Foot (PC)
- Pepper Grinder (Switch, PC)
Luckily, Devolver Digital spends the back half of its presentation highlighting games that are still coming out in this calendar year. Games like Gunbrella, Wizard with a Gun, The Talos Principle 2, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, and Karmazoo, as well as DLC for Broforce and McPixel 3, are expected soon. While we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of every delayed game, the extra time spent on development will make the final product all the better. Please take as much time as you need, devs.
